FAQ

Frequently asked questions and answers about anxious patients.

How do you deal with anxious patients?

A fear of the dentist may come in many varieties. In order to be perfectly prepared for each individual case, we have developed a questionnaire for patients to fill out before their first treatment. We take your concerns seriously. With a lot of patience, sensitivity, and a calm atmosphere, we help you build your trust in us. Explaining each aspect of the treatment step by step – so you remain in control at all times.

Is dental treatment really possible without pain?

Yes. Thanks to modern anaesthesia and gentle methods, we can reliably eliminate pain. Upon request, we also use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or general anaesthesia so that you can relax during treatment.

What happens at the first appointment for anxious patients?

We first start with a consultation – a treatment will only follow if you wish so.  We listen, explain the options, and carry out a gentle examination. Thus, building up trust before we begin treatment.

What options are available to help me relax during treatment?

We offer various options: local anaesthesia for pain-free procedures, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for relaxed treatment, or general anaesthesia. In the latter case, you will be prepared for anaesthesia in a personal consultation with an experienced anaesthesiologist.

How can I build trust with my dentist?

Open communication, honest answers, and small, positive treatment experiences help to reduce fears step by step. We are at your side – patiently and respectfully.

How can I permanently overcome my fear of the dentist?

With regular appointments, growing positive experiences, and our continuous support, you can overcome your fear in the long term. With each positive experience, the next visit will get more and more stress-free.
