invisalign® are ultra-thin plastic aligners. As they are almost invisible, you retain your natural facial expression throughout the entire treatment: No annoying braces or brackets for you.
The aligners are custom-made for you based on 3D planning and guide your teeth step by step into the desired position. For having lunch, brushing your teeth or when doing sports, the aligners can be removed at any time.

THE TREATMENT PLAN

FIRST, A FIRM FOUNDATION
We start with a digital 3D scan of the oral cavity using the iTero™ intraoral scanner and a personalized treatment plan, including consultation with family dentist Dr. Lea Recoder.
2.
THE TRANSFORMATION BEGINS
Placing of the attachments, which are ebony-colored fixing points for the aligners. Dispensing of the first 4 aligners. Initial instruction and tips and tricks for daily wear.
3.
MAINTAINING STRAIGHT TEETH
Once the misaligned teeth are successfully corrected, custom-made retainers will ensure that the position of the teeth is maintained in the long term. Thin wires are attached to the back of the teeth from canine to canine. These are not visible from the outside. Additionally, a retention splint should be worn at night for 12 months – similar to aligners.

What exactly are aligners?
Aligners are wafer-thin, transparent plastic splints that gently move your teeth into the desired position. They are almost invisible, comfortable to wear and can be removed at any time.
How does the treatment work?
- First, a precise 3D scan is taken and a digital treatment plan is created.
- Then, you get fitted with your first custom-made aligners. With a series of successive splints, your teeth will move step by step into their new position.
- After the misaligned teeth have been corrected, it is recommended that you wear a retention splint for the next seven months. This will keep your teeth in the desired position.
How long does the invisalign® treatment take?
Depending on the complexity of the corrections, treatment may take 2 to 18 months. Small corrections can be dealt with in a few months.
Who is invisalign® suitable for?
The treatment is equally suitable for teenagers and adults. It can be used to treat a wide range of issues, from minor tooth corrections to more complex cases.
