What types of dentures does Dr. Recoder offer?
We provide you with crowns, bridges, implants, and high-quality prostheses—tailored to your individual situation. The goal is to provide you with dentures that look natural, fit securely, and give you long-term satisfaction.
Which is better: an implant or a bridge?
An implant replaces the tooth root directly in the jaw bone, stimulates the bone, and is particularly durable. A bridge uses neighbouring teeth as support and is a good alternative if an implant is not an option. We will advise you in detail about both options.
When do I need a dental crown?
A crown is useful if a tooth is severely damaged or has undergone root canal treatment. It protects the tooth substance and restores chewing function – perfectly matched to the colour of your natural teeth.
How do partial, hybrid, or full dentures work?
If several or all teeth are missing, there are various types of dentures to choose from. In every case, we place great importance on high wearing comfort, reliable functionality, and a natural appearance so that you can eat and smile without worry. Partial dentures replace missing teeth if you still have some of your own teeth to which they can be attached. Hybrid dentures are supported by anchoring elements on the remaining teeth. Full dentures replace the teeth of a jaw if there are no teeth left to build on.
How long will my dentures last?
With good care and regular check-ups, implants, crowns, and bridges can last for many years. Dentures usually have a slightly shorter lifespan. We will help you with optimal care so that your dentures will last for a long time.
How often should I have my dentures checked?
It is best to have your dentures checked twice a year as part of a dental check-up and cleaning. This allows us to check the fit, functionality, and the surrounding gums. With implants, close monitoring is important in order to detect inflammation at an early stage. If you have any complaints, please make an appointment immediately.
Is the treatment painful?
No. We use modern, gentle methods. On request, we also treat with nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) or under general anaesthesia – so that you can experience your treatment in a relaxed and anxiety-free manner.
